The IP DSLAM software supports a number of standard and proprietary MIBs. The MIB module defines objects for the management of a pair of ADSL modems at each end of the ADSL line and is an extension to the ADSL-LINE-MIB (RFC2662). The reason for this MIB module is that the original ADSL-LINE- MIB is not conforming to the G.997.1 standard. The draft extension MIB (RFC2662) is not released yet and is also lacking parameters defined in the G.997.1. One naming convention was added to those from the ADSL-LINE-MIB: an 'X' from 'extension' is added to all names.
