What's a MIB?

A MIB (Management Information Base) is a structured document that defines the data a device exposes over SNMP — things like interface counters, system uptime, or CPU load. Each module declares a set of named objects, organized into a tree.

What's SNMP?

SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) is how network devices — routers, switches, servers — report status and statistics to monitoring tools. It's the protocol; MIBs are the vocabulary it uses to describe what's being asked for.

What's an OID?

An OID (Object Identifier) is the numeric address of one piece of data in a MIB — a dotted sequence like 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.1, read from the root of a global tree down to one specific object. Names are easier to read; OIDs are what's actually sent over the wire.

Description

This is an action object to perform various TFTP Get or Put functions. The TFTP sever is specified in agTftpServer object. img-get(2) - Download switch image from a specified image file (agTftpImageFileName) on the TFTP server to the destinated storage (agTftpImage). cfg-get(3) - Download switch configuration from a specified file (agTftpCfgFileName) on the TFTP server. cfg-put(4) - Upload switch configuration to a specified file (agTftpCfgFileName) on the TFTP server. dump-put(5) - Download switch core dump to a specified file (agTftpDumpFileName) on the TFTP server. bkpdump-put(6)- Download switch backup core dump to a specified file (agTftpDumpFileName) on the TFTP server. tsdump-put(8) - Download switch tech support dump to a specified file (agTftpTSDumpFileName) on the TFTP server. bogon-get(9) - Download bogon config file from a specified bogon file (uses agTftpImageFileName) on the TFTP server. xml-get(14) - Import XML client certificate to a specified file (agTftpCfgFileName) on the TFTP server. put-techdata(18) - Upload full tech support data via FTP/TFTP/SCP. sesslog-export(19) - Export the session log to a specific file (tftpSessLogFile) to the FTP/SCP server sshkey-export(20) - Export the session log to a specific file (tftpSshKeyFile) to the FTP/SCP server sshkey-import(21) - Import the session log from a specific file (tftpSshKeyFile) on FTP/SCP. other(1) is returned always when read.
